Breeding Programme

Westscott Horse Agistment runs a small breeding programme, breeding eventing and, more recently, dressage horses under the ‘Bloomers’ prefix.  We use frozen semen and also stand our own stallion, Bloomers Simply the Best.

Bloomers Twinkletoes, his half sister, was a 3* eventer, bred by Melanie and owned by Margaret. ‘Twinks’ is now retired as a broodmare and has had two beautiful colt foals to German stallion Diorado, a third colt to renowned dressage sire Foundation and a fourth colt to upcoming dressage sire Feinrich.  Twinkletoes won the highest marks at her Holsteiner Classification and was awarded High Studbook status.  Half sister Celsiana by Colander (Contender) is at pre novice, ready to go 1*.  Another half sister, Champagne Moment, was unfortunately injured in early training, and had a colt foal to Totilas son, Top Gear, in September 2017.   We have also bred three outstanding foals from a Fidertanz mare, sired by our stallion Bloomers Simply the Best.

We have mares available to lease to put in foal to our stallion; alternatively we can take outside mares on agistment until they have a positive 45 day pregnancy test.  Otherwise mares can stay on a long term basis to foal down at Westscott Horse Agistment.  Frozen semen is available.

Bloomers Simply the Best was the last foal from his dam, Feathers xx, who bred 8 amazing foals .
